Angulated Screw Channel (ASC)

With the development of the Angulated Screw Channel (ASC) from Nobel Biocare, the ability to utilize screw-retained implant solutions has been expanded. An angulated screw channel provides the option to place the screw access hole anywhere between 0° to 25° from the long axis of the implant in a 360° radius. This means you can restore most situations with a screw-retained restoration and remove known risks associated with excess cement. The angulation allows the use of screw-retained restorations in the esthetic zone by avoiding a labial screw access point, and the metal adapter means it’s now possible to use zirconia implant restorations in the posterior. With the ASC, the screw access channel can be projected away from high-esthetic-risk areas and placed appropriately at a variety of different angulations. In addition, CAD/CAM design enables the restorations to be efficiently designed and quickly manufactured here in our lab.
